“The Marathon Continues” with another schoolyear on the horizon, and a new school-year means…..it’s time for IMANI-FEST!!!
Our 12th Annual Back-to-School street festival, “Imani-Fest” will be held at Rothenberg Preparatory Academy (241 E. Clifton Ave., 45202) on Saturday, August 10, 2024, from 12:00pm – 3:00pm. This is the 11th year that Imani and Rothenberg have partnered together to host this awesome event! Not only is this an opportunity to give away bookbags to students (school supplies included), but also a time for fellowship and fun!
Theme:
The theme for Imani-Fest and this upcoming school year is “The Marathon Continues”. Last year, the marathon began with our “i-Ready..Set...Go!” theme and it continues this year as we support our youth and families on the path to success.
What to Expect:
Imani-Fest will include fun activities, great prizes, complimentary food, music, vendors, and resources for families.
Raffles: Every half-hour, there will be opportunities to win TV’s, Electronics, Gift Cards, Gift Baskets, and more. You don’t want to miss these!!
Be ready to enjoy inflatable rides, games, face painting, 360 booths, a petting zoo, and much more. We can’t wait to see you there!!!
Important Note for Families:
The Registration Zone is the required 1st stop on your journey and is where you will receive your wristbands and festival guide. If you are planning to grab a bookbag, please be sure to have the children with you that you are grabbing bags for. Thank you in advance! 😊

Our Objectives
We are dedicated to fostering increased participation in our after-school programs at Rothenberg Preparatory Academy and Woodford Academy. Our primary objectives include equipping students with essential school supplies, empowering them for success, and creating opportunities for parents and adults to pursue further education and employment opportunities. Additionally, we aim to provide valuable health education information to ensure a successful upcoming school year.
Our Specific Goals:
Fundraising Goal: We aspire to raise between $10,000 and $12,000 to support our initiatives.
Attendance: Our target is to engage 1,000 or more family members in the community.
Sponsors: We aim to secure the support of 15 to 20 sponsors who share our vision.
Raffle Items: We plan to offer an extensive selection of 20 to 30 enticing items for our raffle.
Volunteers: We are seeking 40 to 60 dedicated individuals who are passionate about making a difference in the lives of students and the community at large.
The Challenge We're Facing
At the Imani Family Center, we firmly believe in the power of interaction and learning to foster a strong and supportive community. Our mission is to empower children and families, enabling them to thrive and reach their full potential. This summer, we have set our sights on providing new school supplies and backpacks to over 800-grade school students. We kindly request your support to ensure the ongoing success of this festival and make a lasting impact on the lives of these students and their families.

The Imani Fest is proud to have the support of our volunteers whose dedication brings the festival to life. Rain or shine, wind or heat, our volunteer team adds a spirit to the event we continue to applaud. Last year we had over 50 volunteers! But numbers don’t tell the whole story! It’s a feeling you can only get from putting community and school pride into action!
